For the Afrocentric fashion lover who desire fashion items made with other materials apart from ankara and adire, we bring to you a new brand using the age-long traditional fabric ‘aso-oke’, to create colourful fashion accessories.

The new fashion brand called Ethnik opened officially on Sunday at Araba’s Cafe on Victoria Island in Lagos, after some months of making their first appearance online.

Ethnik is designed and created by Tunde Owolabi, a multi-dimensional artist. He has designed these items for the fashion forward individual who is interested in creative ways of blending cultural fabrics with contemporary design. At the opening event, Tunde Owolabi says “This is what keeps me up at night. I am glad we are beginning to embrace our own. It is my desire that people feel like they are wearing a work of art; a collector’s item.”
