The 10th Ostrale International Exhibition of Contemporary Art in Dresden titled “error: x” opened on Friday, July 1st, 2016 to less report in the media and mentions by art world insiders. This is in spite of the participation of a few well-known artists from Europe, and non-European countries, and the political themes it examines.
In no particular order, we bring to you striking installations that resonate with our understanding of ‘error’ in current socio-political contexts. The provocative images demonstrate both the glaring and subtle political fails, injustice, social and racial discriminations, violence, corruption, and other oddities from around the world, as well as the influence of technology on ‘man’ in the digital age.
The annual exhibition is ongoing at a former slaughterhouse, in the neighborhood known as Ostragehege in Dresden, and open until 25th September 2016.
