Parcours des Mondes has been described as the most important show of tribal art in the world by the quality and diversity of its participants.  During the second week of September over 70 exhibitors from Germany, America, Britain, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Italy, The Netherlands and Switzerland will join their colleagues in Paris permanently settled in the fine arts neighbourhood in St. Germain-des-Prés to show objects from Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
The art fair presents works which reveal the creative ingenuity of tribal art artists. It will offer to those unfamiliar with tribal art an insight into these people’s customs and beliefs and will introduce contemporary artists whose work has been influenced by the social and aesthetic traditions of their country.
This exceptional concentration of works and experts is an open-door fair where visitors can mingle and wander through the streets of this historic district. Each gallery offers an intimate and personalized presentation of great masterpieces from Africa or Oceania, ethnographic works of more affordable prices and other pieces sought after by collectors.
