On entering the store, you are welcomed with low classical music that unconsciously makes you relax as you move throw the mix of  impressively displayed items in different sections with the assistance of a pleasant store representative. You are taken away from the noise and distraction typical of the market or other local places where you are likely to shop for local hand-crafted items in Lagos. They have brought together in one space what you will go searching for in 4 – 5 different stores in other parts of town thus saving you the stress of moving from one store to another and at affordable prices for most items.








Since 1988, Quintessence has been promoting African arts and hand crafted items beyond the shores of Nigeria through exhibitions in Germany, Sweden, Burkina Faso, England and other places. They also have art gatherings and fashion exhibitions in the garden of their store here in Lagos to support Nigerian Artists and craftsmanship.
