Art Clip Africa invites you to “Aso Igba, Social Fabric”, an exhibition of selected works by Kelani Abass.
Kelani Abass is an award-winning artist whose works explore the possibilities inherent in painting, photography and printing to highlight personal stories against the background of social and political events which engage time and memory.
The pastel drawings that make up the collection presented in Aso Igba are composite demographics of the everyday people of our society, reflecting their ethnicity, wealth, values, interests and capacities. The subjects in these drawings are broad; they respond to cultural and social contexts and the politics of inequalities layered on toned conflations of paisley leaves.
Duration : The exhibition is open from January 30th to February 29th 2016.
Venue : Art Clip Africa exhibition space, Radisson Blu Anchorage Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
