Supported by Hydrocarbon Advisors, Guardian Newspapers and “Friends of TSA African Culture Foundation”, TSA Art Writing Master Class II begins at the culturally historic building – Loving Lagos at Onikan, Lagos. The lead facilitator is Professor Chika Okeke-Agulu, art critic, curator and art historian.
TSA Foundation, headed by art writer and publisher – Bukola Oyebode, organises the master class program to expand the network of art professionals advancing the course of African art through writing, criticism and curatorial endeavours.
Eleven applicants from Nigeria and Senegal were selected for the second edition through an open call for applications in June and July, by an undisclosed duo of art professionals – Jude Anogwih (Visual Artist/Artist-Curator and co-Founder, VAN Lagos) and Jumoke Sanwo (Visual Artist, Curator and Founder, Revolving Art Incubator).
The selected applicants are: Roli Afinotan (Nigeria) | Diarietou Nasradine Diop (Senegal – received Friends of TSA African Culture Foundation tuition grant) | Agwu Enekwachi (Nigeria) | Solomon Fowowe (Nigeria – Guardian Newspaper candidate) | Nneoma Ilogu (Nigeria) | Olabode Jegede (Nigeria) | Timileyin Omilana (Nigeria – Guardian Newspaper candidate) | Moni Oloke (Nigeria) | adeoluwa oluwajoba ( Nigeria – recipient of the program’s Lead Facilitator tuition grant) | Favour Ritaro (Nigeria) | Prisca Sam-Duru (Nigeria).
